Professor Zhao Zhengyu is currently the director of the low-latitude space environmental monitoring and application laboratory of the Institute of Space Science and Application Technology in Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. He presided over and participated in more than 20 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, more than ten industry special projects and scientific and technological projects of provincial ministries and commissions, presided over 6 national defense 863 Projects, more than ten national defense pre-research projects. And he published more than 80 research papers. At present he holds the senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics, Member of the Radio Transmission Branch, Member of EISCAT Professional Committee, Member of Space Physics Professional Committee of Chinese Space Science Society, Chairman of G Committee of URSI China Committee, Member of IAGA China Committee, etc. During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, he served as a member of the State 863 Program Expert Committee; and during the 11th Five-Year Plan period, he was one of the expert of the State 863 Program. He has presided over the development of the first domestic intermediate frequency radar monitoring system, the first domestic MST radar detection system, and the first domestic vehicle-mounted single-station XX ionospheric detection system. In the past five years, it has successively won the first prize of scientific and technological progress of the Chinese Geophysical Society, the second prize of scientific and technological progress of Hubei Province, the second prize of scientific and technological progress of Henan Province, the second prize of scientific and technological progress of China Power Group, the third prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award, the third prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the third prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Hubei Province, and the provincial outstanding doctoral thesis supervisor.

Main Research Fields and Directions

Ionospheric physics and space weather, near-Earth space detection technology, radio wave propagation and its engineering application, earthquake ionospheric precursors.
